Pierre AMIEL est né à Perpignan. Il expose à Deauville en 1969 et 1970 puis travaille à Paris de 1980 à 1983 au sein du groupe de la « Jeune Peinture, Jeune Expression » avec qui il participe à des expositions dans la grande nef du Grand Palais à Paris. De 1984 à 1985, il expose à Vernon et à Chartres. A partir de cette date, il décide de ne plus exposer tout en continuant d’explorer son univers artistique, qui progressivement l’entraînera vers une représentation de plus en plus abstraite. Installé à Londres en 1997, il considère à la manière des anciens artistes asiatiques, que son art est arrivé à maturité. Il décide donc de montrer de nouveau son travail. Plusieurs expositions suivent en France et à l’étranger et suscitent de nombreux articles et interviews (presses écrites, radio et TV).Pierre AMIEL vit et travaille à Paris depuis 2002.
Pierre AMIEL was born in Perpignan. He exhibited at Deauville in 1969 and 1970, then between 1980 and 1983 he became part of the group « Jeune Peinture, Jeune Expression » and as part of this group he participated in exhibitions at “the Grand Palais” PARIS. In 1984 and 1985 he exhibited at Vernon and Chartres. At this point in time he decided to cease showing yet continue to explore his artistic universe which led him to slowly move towards a more and more abstract conception. While in London, 1997 to 2002, he came to the realisation that, as with the ancient Asiatic artists, his art had reached maturity and decided to once again show his work. The several shows that followed, in France and abroad, were the subject of numerous articles and interviews (press, radio and TV). In 2002 Pierre AMIEL returned to Paris to live and work.
